Futurism: How to gain access to Boise State and NASA IP
As NASA reaches further and further into space, its innovations have impacted and transformed life on Earth. Many like to equate Tang and Velcro as NASA technologies but the truth is far more impressive than the myth of these two examples.  Steven González will share the NASA roots of the innovations that we take for granted every day and describe how NASA makes it easy to license its technology through its various initiatives.
Boise State University is Idaho’s largest university as its research programs continue to gain momentum and stature.  Katy Weiser, the Director of Boise State University’s Office of Technology Transfer, will discuss Boise State’s cutting edge research and how community members can access intellectual property to grow their businesses.

If you are curious about launching a new venture with NASA technology, learn about some local organizations that have licensed NASA technology as well as hear from a successful startup from Boise State University.  Aaron Smith with Shaw Mountain Technology  will share his experience in licensing intellectual property from the university.  

Steven González, will moderate a panel showcasing the success of including the team and Katy Weiser will highlight the Idaho State University and the NASA RECOVER AND DEVELOP projects.
